Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a Amber fragrance for women and men. Grand Soir was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian.
Grand Soir Maison Francis Kurkdjian eau de parfum invites you to perfect your allure and don your most beautiful effects. Lose yourself in an endless night and enjoy the never-ending brilliance of an evening in Paris when bridges and monuments glow as though lit with a thousand lights. Majestically displayed against a twilight sky carried by the warm vanilla of benzoin from Siam and tonka beans from Brazil rattled by the deep darkness of cistus resin from Spain. This oriental amber fragrance dresses the skin with vibrant notes as you lose yourself in the energetic pace and mystery of a meandering night in the City of Light.
The scent was pleasant and enjoyable to wear, but it was overly sweet and bordering on gourmand at times, which is sweeter than I typically wear; I tend to prefer ambers with heavier woods, smoke, and spice and with less potent of a honey note. I’ll go for sweetness at times, but it’s more of a fleeting mood than part of a routine. I know many readers enjoy more gourmand scents, so for those who often find amber-centered fragrances too woody or too smoky, the honeyed sweetness of this one might make it more approachable.
